Christmas may be a little different this year, due to social distancing measures and the continuing pandemic – but one thing that we can still enjoy is making our homes look really festive. If you want to go that extra mile to brighten up your home this year and spread festive cheer, here are a few ways you can get your house ready for the festive season, and a dd a little extra sparkle as well…

Add some flowers – Flowers aren’t just for the summer months – find a florist like this florist Tewkesbury based The Flower Shed to get you some festive floral displays – you could put them on the dining table and add some special flowers to your door wreath too. For a plant that you can enjoy every Christmas, get a potted Poinsettia – keep it in the house and watch as it flowers every December.

Include the whole house – Often we decorate the downstairs but stop there – but if you really want to go all out, then carry on the festive theme upstairs – smaller Christmas trees or fairy lights are great for bedrooms, as well as some Christmas bedding that will have you going to sleep thinking of Christmas!

Do Something Festive Every Day – If you do something every day to spread some festive cheer in the run up to Christmas it will make for a really happy and jolly atmosphere. You could do something for charity, play a Christmas game with the family or watch a festive film for example.
