Double glazing is amazing stuff as it keeps heat in a home and stops the cold getting in as well, Not only that, it is very good at keeping out the sun’s heat and UV rays. This means that you don’t have to have the heating so high in the winter time, reducing your gas bill and the world’s resources plus it also means that you don’t have to worry about getting sun burn through the window if you are looking out of it or sitting next to it.

Double glazing is two pieces of glass but they are not wedged tightly together. There is a good sizable gap between the two pieces so that a void can be created. This void is what acts as a barrier between the two and this void of bear vacuum makes it hard for temperatures like heat and cold to penetrate through the glass and the void to get into the home.
