An estate agent is an individual or company who actively manages, rents, selling or management of real properties and other such buildings. An estate agent can be found on the internet through a search engine or via advertising in the local newspapers. A letting agent will be someone who either actively rents properties or works as an intermediary between landlords and tenants. An agent who specialises in rental is most likely to be called a leasing or management agent.

There are several different types of estate agents. One type is a landlord’s agent – these are individuals or companies who buy and sell homes and build up investments in the residential real estate market. Another type of estate agent is that of an intermediary or broker – these are people who find investors to invest in the residential property market, then help those investors find suitable property owners to buy, rent or manage. And there is also another type of estate agent – one that deals solely in commercial properties. These are brokers or salespeople who find properties to sell and take a commission on the sale.

A Gloucester Estate Agents such as TGRES can be very beneficial for the client – finding properties to buy, selling them, taking a commission when the property sells, keeping an eye on market trends, providing advice to potential buyers, etc. They may be able to do all of this through a single company, but it is usually more economical (and sometimes safer) for an estate agent to represent rather than private buyer and seller in the local property market doing it.
