As we are staying at home a lot more at the moment, we have luckily been enjoying some beautiful summer weather here in the UK. Those of us lucky enough to have a garden will want to be out enjoying them and relaxing in the sunshine, maybe even enjoying a barbeque. So how can you make your garden the best place to spend your time this summer?

Giving your garden a good ‘haircut’ is a great way to start. It may well be looking a little overgrown and unkempt – cut the grass, prune the roses, and get any trees that may be blocking your sunshine or are simply a bit overgrown cut back – it is best to get in an expert for this, such as Dorset tree surgeon https://kieranboylandtreeservices.com/ as it can be quite dangerous to those who don’t really know what they are doing!

If you have kids, make the garden a fun place to be. It is easy to make a water slide cheaply and effectively, using binbags taped together and run a hosepipe down it. Add fairy liquid for an extra bit of skid!

If you want to enjoy the long summer nights in the garden, decorate with some pretty solar lights. There are many around to choose from to suit all tastes. As the evenings can be a little cooler, a patio heater is also a great way to keep the party going outdoors, or even a chimenea. Also, remember the evenings can attract biting bugs, so put some citronella candles around your seating area to keep the bites at bay!
