Compression Moulding – this is the process that is favoured when large volumes of the same item are required. It is an incredibly cost effective process and has very little waste attached to it. Transfer Moulding – Untreated rubber is taken from a transfer container where it is cured or vulcanised in the mould, depending upon its needs. This is where heat and pressure are applied to the mould.
Injection Moulding – An injection barrel forces rubber in the mould, allowing for the rubber to reach into small areas and into difficult shapes. Pressure is added to the mould whilst the rubber item is formed. This can be a great way to produce large numbers of items at a time and it is an incredibly fast process with a quick curing time.
